General Objective

Prioritize food security and nutrition for the entire population at the national, regional, and local levels. We place a central focus on children and vulnerable sectors, emphasizing rights and equity.

Specific Objectives:

    • We propose immediate strategies to address the economic crisis resulting from the pandemic. These coordinated actions involve civil society institutions and the government, aiming to implement priority measures during emergencies.

Key Actions:

    • Prioritizing food availability:
      • Supporting family agriculture to ensure the 2020-21 agricultural campaign, along with income and employment for rural populations.
      • Supporting artisanal fishing and aquaculture to diversify diets and provide income and employment.
    • Ensuring food access:
      • Supporting family incomes.
      • Distributing food in situations of hunger.
    • Promoting food utilization:
      • Guaranteeing healthy diets.
      • Encouraging appropriate infant feeding practices.
    • Enhancing food stability:
      • Implementing an early warning system for hunger situations.
  1. Elaborating Policy Proposals:
    • The collective will develop and seek consensus on policy proposals related to Food security and nutrition.
    • They aim to address medium-term needs and engage in public advocacy during political changes and electoral campaigns.
  2. Public Advocacy:
    • The collective will actively engage in political advocacy within the public sphere.
  • The collective will consolidate the redefinition of its role, including organizational structure, governance, and participation in public forums.

  1. Approving the definition of the collective’s role, membership, organization, governance, and relationships with other spaces and institutions.
  2. Establishing thematic work teams.
  3. Holding meetings with prioritized stakeholders to present the collective’s initiatives.
